It was going to be a long weekend. With Monday as a gazetted public holiday I had three days in which to do nothing, and that's what I intended to do. I was going to just relax, bum around the house, maybe work on the car and maybe play on the internet.
I was completely unsuspicious when my mother asked if I had anything planned for the weekend.

John Dorland pressed his foot down on the break, slowing the car down as he approached his usual stakeout spot and eased his navy blue unmarked police cruiser off the interstate and into a wide truck turnout, backing the rear of the Dodge Charger up under the cover of the maple trees that lined the turnout fifty yards from the edge of the asphalt. He turned off the headlights, leaving the engine idling, and flipped on the dash mounted radar, settling back into his seat for the remainder of his ten hour shift.

She slumped into her computer chair and decided to surf the net. When she signed on, her home page popped up showing an ad for a new bar in her neighborhood. She decided to get dressed and give it a shot.
She decided to walk the five blocks to the bar, and as she approached it she noticed that there were no Grand Opening signs or anything like that.

The day started off like any other Saturday: I woke up, nursing a little hangover, walked into my kitchen and made some coffee. It was a bright day outside and somewhere around 10 o'clock. I slowly got dressed and made myself a little breakfast, picked up my laptop and set off sending some emails I'd neglected the day before.
That went on for about an hour or two when there was a sudden knock on the door. I looked up, perplexed, and slowly walked to the door, hearing the knocking again.

I'm so excited to see them. I'm squirming in my seat. It's been so long since I've tasted either of them and I'm licking my lips with anticipation.
