I watched as my wife applied the finishing touches to her lipstick and then turned to me.
"Right, I'm ready now, can you give me a lift?"
We headed downstairs and out to my car. It was then just a fifteen minute drive to the restaurant where Kim was meeting her boss. She worked as assistant credit controller at an engineering firm and her boss was moving to a new job in Scotland.

Preparing for a job interview always gets me excited, even more so now as the economy is worsening and worsening. I know that I'm not the most skilled employee out there and god knows, there's thousands of women trying to become PAs, so getting to the in-person interview stage after hundreds of different applications is pretty exciting for me.

I had just gotten back to my cubicle after taking a much shorter than normal lunch. But that was typical for most Fridays, especially lately. I still had a lot of work remaining to do for the weekly reports that "Beth" expected to have turned in before end of day. I had barely sat down when I heard her voice as she reprimanded one of my best friends and co-workers in the cubicle next to me, though thankfully I wasn't able to see her as she did so. Bad enough I could hear it.

Abbie scratched her ass and then settled deeper into the worn couch. Crumbs from her pretzels irritated her thighs, but she made no move to brush them off. She nursed the dregs of her diet coke and waited for Phyllis to tell Sierra that Phillip was really her half-brother's cousin, not her twin brother. She snapped up another pretzel and grinned evilly. Phyllis's revenge would be short-lived. Sierra would have the last laugh because Sierra carried Phillip's baby.

Despite my best efforts, thoughts of what I wanted to do to Michael kept clouding my mind. Maybe coming up with that fantasy about him hadn't been the best idea. Instead of clearing my head, now I was wishing even more that it would happen in reality.
But the pressure was on with our project and I forced myself to focus on the job at hand. The next four days of the convention were really intense. It wasn't easy because the others all knew each other and had worked together in this type of situation before, and I was still the new guy in the group.

Starting a successful home business is a hard thing, that's for sure. There were many obstacles and difficulties when I started, but now the 'Watson & Co.' is a popular branding. Being an entrepreneur is not easy, let alone when the '& Co.' part of your brand is nonexistent.
That's right. There is no one else helping in managing the company but myself. Alexander Watson worked solo.

My boss Justin wasn't a beautiful man. He was short with a badly trimmed moustache, a thatch of white hair, huge sweet patched under his armpits & rather a large beer belly. But he was my boss so I treated him with a certain amount of respect. After a few too many glasses of champagne at the Christmas party I'd let it slip that before I'd married my wife I had in fact had a boyfriend.

Working for a female boss is not something I really had a problem with in principle, but working for my female boss was a definite problem. She was definitely the type to make sure everyone knew she was in power almost in a way to counteract the "weaker sex" stereotype. She was a 40-year old divorcee which really wasn't a surprise as there was no question that she was an attractive woman, but at the same time I can't imagine anyone living with her personality.

When I took over as chair of the office social committee, I was not aware that one of the tasks I'd inherited from the previous chair was helping the boss set up for the company Christmas party that he hosted at his house. It wasn't something I should have had to do, but the previous chair had set a precedent that I was then obliged to uphold. It wasn't all bad, though, since the party was on a Saturday night and they offered to let me get ready over there rather than having to run home and run back.

I'm sitting here with my head spinning, completely confused. I need to talk this thing through with someone... I just don't understand my own feelings on this one. I've honestly never felt like this before.
It all started last night. Christmas party season -- the joys! I've not been in my new job very long, working in the sales floor of a national magazine (I'm not allowed to say which, but you've probably read it in the hairdressers.')
