"Come on Jodie. It'll be fun."
Heather and Michelle were currently going through a green protest stage. Both just turned twenty, they got a kick out of going out and protesting for various causes. The rights and wrongs weren't really their concern. The chance to protest was the thing.

It was a nice, cool day out. It was a perfect day for a run, and even though I'm terrible at it, I felt like I really wanted to, because I love exercise - just not running. But, I wanted to run, so I did. It's better for me if I run with a partner so I called up my friend Cheryl - Cher for short. She is one of the most beautiful women I know, making running way more difficult and uncomfortable, but she's also very sweet and takes it easy on me, unlike other people I could ask.

The first thing I noticed when I woke up is that I was unable to move anything but my arms. I was lying naked, on my back, strapped down onto a padded leather surface.
I couldn't really see what was holding me in place as my head was tilted back quite far by a wide leather strap wrapping around my forehead.

This wasn't the first time he'd seen her here at the supermarket. It was a few of weeks ago, on a Wednesday, that he first cast his eyes upon her mature, full figure and her fine head topped by billows of natural red hair. She was about 45, and her large hips and breasts where accented by a slim waist. She was a West Texas earth mother type, but with a hint of sadness. Since then, he'd made Wednesdays his regular shopping day in the faint hope that he might run into her again. And now, here she was in front of him.

The day had been pretty boring at college. I couldn't wait till I got home. I knew today would be the day. Both parents would be gone, and I just received my package in the mail. As if it weren't great enough, tonight was the first night of spring break. My parents wouldn't be gone for only one night, but they were taking a vacation and leaving me home alone to house sit. Being the mature twenty-one year old I am, they trusted me.

Chapter 1
Brad McGibbon was not coping well following his wife's decision to leave him to live in a warmer climate because her joints were playing up. Brad's were too, a bit. He thought Heather should have hips, knees and anywhere else that was painful replaced instead of sloping off to a warm climate where one sweated all day and perhaps half-froze at night.
She chose Hawaii while he stayed put in Twin Forks on the John Dee River.

She wanted to die, without him her life felt black and gray, like the sky. She sat in her little house looking out at the rain as it left icy trails down her window. She thought the tears on her face must look just like that, cold, wet rivers of pain. She wished someone would come and rescue her from herself. Rescue her from those dark feelings that invaded her head like parasites. She needed to be beaten, to be abused and hurt for the bad things she'd done and said to him.

My dad had some work in Delhi. Since I didn't have any college work that weekend, I decided to join them on their trip. My only reason for concern was the weather in Delhi. I had been reading about the soaring temperatures in the city. But once my dad let me know that we would be staying in a really fancy hotel, I didn't mind anymore, since the rooms would be air-conditioned.

Captain Andy had three passengers for this trip. Captain might sound a fancy title for a man with only a small motor yacht, but what the hell? He owned and drove it and that made him captain in his books. Or in his boat, anyway.
Andy was in the mid-twenties, tanned, not un-handsome, affable and an extrovert. He seemed to get on with everyone he met, which is a useful talent for someone who hires out his boat for day cruises. He had a lot of repeat customers.
