Chapter 1
Brad McGibbon was not coping well following his wife's decision to leave him to live in a warmer climate because her joints were playing up. Brad's were too, a bit. She wanted to die, without him her life felt black and gray, like the sky. She sat in her little house looking out at the rain as it left icy trails down her window. She thought the tears on her face must look just like that, cold, wet rivers of pain. She wished someone would come and rescue her from herself. Rescue her from those dark feelings that invaded her head like parasites. She needed to be beaten, to be abused and hurt for the bad things she'd done and said to him.

My dad had some work in Delhi. Since I didn't have any college work that weekend, I decided to join them on their trip. My only reason for concern was the weather in Delhi. I had been reading about the soaring temperatures in the city. Captain Andy had three passengers for this trip. Captain might sound a fancy title for a man with only a small motor yacht, but what the hell? He owned and drove it and that made him captain in his books. Or in his boat, anyway.

My boss Justin wasn't a beautiful man. He was short with a badly trimmed moustache, a thatch of white hair, huge sweet patched under his armpits & rather a large beer belly. But he was my boss so I treated him with a certain amount of respect. After a few too many glasses of champagne at the Christmas party I'd let it slip that before I'd married my wife I had in fact had a boyfriend.

It was a warm afternoon and the windows were open in the small one room apartment. The blinds on the sliding window to the deck we flapping playfully in the warm breeze that blew through the apartment. Alissa reclined on the couch naked, her long dark hair draped enticingly over her gorgeous dark skinned Asian body. Her breasts were large, a bit past their prime but still gorgeous to behold and her dark aureole encircled perk nipples that just begged to be sucked on.

Joseph Roswell was an ordinary boy. He wasn't a jock, the valedictorian, or the cool kid who had the best parties after the football game. He had wanted to be an astronaut or a millionaire or a famous singer when he was little, but he would never be those things.

I can describe beauty. It stands tall and slender at the rails of the boardwalk, allowing the sea breeze to dance with white hair glowing in the moonlight. It is elegance wrapped in a cream-colored mock turtleneck sweater and matching cashmere slacks. Beauty is a countenance of serenity, absorbing the power and wonder of creation knowing all share a common source.
