The slave industry was alive and well, buying healthy eggs from the starving inhabitants of another life to clone new humans.

Radon and Taylor ran, head down, through the thick filthy sleet. The icy rain had started out as clean white snow, but then it was stained by factory smoke and melted by the roads and buildings it passed. By the time snow got to the Bottom Tier, it was filthy mush that was more dangerous then snow.

"Are we sure we want to sell the house? It's in a great location and it should be scarfed right up. There won't be second thoughts to be had about it. Sales in Mystic are booming."
Daren Peters was standing at a window at the back of the house, taking a break with a cup of coffee, while his older sister, Peggy, chattered on as she continued packing boxes to send back to California.

"May you live in interesting times," Anya intoned. "Man, I always get that one!"
"In bed," I reminded her saucily.
"Speaking of which… Josh's coming over tonight," she giggled. "Read yours!"
"You are about to embark on a fabulous adventure." I paused for a beat then added, "In bed."
"Well, you are going on a trip tomorrow!" Anya squealed excitedly. "And it's been way too long since you had a man in your bed, mister."
