Just a taste for all those who dig the sickness in my mind. It will be a while before I can complete my new stuff as I have things in my life coming up to take my time. But it is time that will hopefully recharge the mind's eye and focus it to a better level than before. To those of you waiting patiently for Becoming the Dominus 4 it is under construction and will hopefully be out soon. Enjoy this little tidbit if you will and feel free to enjoy it. By the way this is a work of fiction so I did borrow a name or two but not anyones intentionally.

"Really, Sidonie," I said. "I didn't come to New Orleans just so I could help you keep your kinfolk in order!"
My friend from college days grinned at me, lifting a rake through her big chestnut hair. Gavin, her husband, sat on the bed patiently channel-surfing while she finished getting gussied up for their evening out on the town. She was dressed in a red satin shirt, black leather pants and Doc Martens, and Gavin was equally street- and party-ready, although far less dramatic, in chinos and a polo shirt.

"Can I help you?" the woman at the front desk of the hotel asked.
"I have a reservation. Tonya Benton."
The woman's smile faded a little as she clicked away on the computer. After a few seconds, she said, "I'm terribly sorry, but we don't have any rooms available."
Tonya gave a shake of her head, tossing her red curls, in disbelief of what she'd just heard. "What? I have a reservation. I made it a month ago."

I rested my neck on the edge of the bathtub and stretched my limbs, luxuriating in the warmth of the foamy water. I surveyed the unfamiliar opulence of my surroundings and sighed with satisfaction. I had learnt on my arrival at the resort hotel in Maui where I was to stay that my confirmed reservation had been deleted by a mysterious glitch in their system and that no rooms were available. Either my panic stricken face or more probably the fact that I am a claims agent for a major marine insurance company persuaded the management to get rid of the problem by upgrading me to a beach side cottage.
