I met Amanda and Brooke at Ignacio and Rachael's beach house during one of their big, swanky parties. It started when I was talking to Ann over by the big salt water fish tank; the one with the octopus. We were talking about the hosts' odd relationship when she nudged me and nodded her head in the direction of the ocean. "Hey Craig, there're two hotties checking you out," she said around her cigarette.
My career as a body painter has introduced me to some interesting people. Call them characters, if you must. But, understandably, a person willing to have their naked body turned into a canvas is going to be somewhat...extroverted.
I've always thought exhibitionist was a cruel description for my subjects. In fact, if I do my job correctly the public should not know that the subject is naked.
She walked through the door, and every head turned. An air of confidence followed her as she strolled through the crowd. She smiled and the room lit up. I was studying a painting until she came up behind me.
"Pondering the meaning of this painting?" she asked, a smile playing on her lips.
I'm sure you've all met someone like Michelle. It wasn't that she was dumb or uneducated, it was just that she seemed to have trouble applying her worldly knowledge to herself. Then when something happened that did impact on her it always came as a surprise.
"But why did this happen to me?" seemed to be her bemused motto.
