"Let's go dancing tonight," she proposed. It wasn't often that she asked since he usually didn't like going out to clubs. Too many people crammed into a tight space, crappy music played at a deafening level and exorbitant drink prices did not an amusing evening make.

Billy was shit out of luck. His problem was that he was just an average Joe - but he was really, REALLY average! He was twenty-five years old, working as a delivery man, and not a bad person. But he just couldn't get laid. It wasn't that he was ugly or fat or anything else like that. He had ordinary looks with an ordinary body (bordering on the chubby side, though).

The house next door to mine finally sold to a nice couple. It had been on the market for a while. I got to know them as the moved in and started to get settled. She was Pam a friendly woman in her mid-thirties and he was Mark, also about the same age and in good shape for his age.
I helped them as they moved in and did some work on the house, but it wasn’t until they had a house warming party that I really got to know them well.

My first time happened back in 1969. My wife, Cheryl, and I were living in Ndola, in Zambia, where I worked on a copper mine. There was no TV out there, and very little in the way of a social life, aside from the local recreational club, which nearly all the expatriate community belonged to.
