Sara stared at her friend lying on the couch watching TV. She couldn't get over the fact that she had turned into such a beautiful woman since she had seen her last. It had been about five years ago when Michelle had chose to move to a different state to start over in a new life after her divorce. Michelle had had a rough marriage to Tyler for three years and it had showed in how she had kept her self-back then. Never dressing up, putting on make-up or even caring if her hair was fixed.

Sachel and I met our freshman year. We'd been through all the same orientation events, and had a couple of classes together. There was also the work we both put in with the Black student association. By the time students were asked to select their rooms for the upcoming year, she and I were good friends. We put in our request early enough to get a room in one of the nicer dorms on the campus.

My best friend Dee belongs to a sorority. They were having a party tonight and she invited my new boyfriend Brian and I. Not that anybody really needed invitations to a sorority beer bash.
Brian picked me up dressed in jeans and a green shirt, looking almost exactly like he did when I first bumped into him. I would have to do something about his wardrobe.

Hi, my name is Nerida Lawson and this is the story of how I lost my innocence. But first let me tell you a little about myself. I was so annoyed when it started snowing in the morning. I was working at home since my office had closed, and Friday's noon BJJ class at the gym was canceled. At least the mats would be fresh since they usually clean them well after Thursday's night class. The snow turned to sleet as the sun set, and normally I wouldn't consider driving in that weather.

The bus was just creeping along, it was snowing like crazy and the roads were super slippery. Tess and I were sitting alone, way in the back of the bus, trying to stay warm. There was a heater vent back there, but it didn't help much.
All the boys on the trip were sitting a few rows ahead of us, and they were making a lot of noise.

I'm pretty sure her plan backfired and she wasn't happy. I couldn't say I was disappointed but if she wasn't so pissed off I probably would have assured her no one was more surprised by how the events turned out than me. But I didn't tell Barbara that because she was too busy glaring at me to care about what I had to say.

I was living in a small university town, doing graduate study on my degree. The university was very good, but it was in the Bible Belt, and the town was Dullsville personified. An aunt had died leaving me a sizable inheritance, and I could concentrate on my studies, most of the time. I'm female, and single.
